A family sweet counter in Thatheri Bazar, since 1984

Sri Narayan Misthan Bhandar (श्री नारायण मिष्ठान भंडार) is run by Madan Kumar and family. The shop has stood in Thatheri Bazar, one of the old market lanes of Varanasi between the ghats and Kashi Vishwanath Temple, since 1984.

What we make

We make both khoya sweets and chhena sweets in the same kitchen: Lal Peda and barfi from khoya, and rasgulla, rasmalai and cham cham from chhena. Everything is pure vegetarian and made in pure desi ghee.

The sweet people ask for most is Malai Gilori, thin malai folded like a paan around dry fruits and gulkand. Customers also come back for Lal Peda, Till Barfi in winter and Rasbhari.

How you can buy

At the counter in Thatheri Bazar, open every day from 8 AM – 9 PM. For delivery in Varanasi we are on Zomato and Swiggy, and for gift boxes, weddings and orders outside the city you can message us on WhatsApp.
